Miss Hilda’s Cream Tea is taken in the Drawing Room and is available daily between 3pm and 4:30pm. During the summer months it can also be taken outside on the Veranda.

A quality yet relaxing place
"We dined here twice as part of the half board package with Plas Tan-Yr-Allt and must say that the whole experience was wonderful. The restaurant is smart yet informal so you feel relaxed which is helped by the friendly staff. On our first evening there were two girls waiting on who were friendly, attentive and professional, and on the second night we were served by Lolo (I think that's right?) who went above and beyond. Not only was he friendly but also he gave us the option of extra specials as he had found out that this was our second evening there which was appreciated eventhough the standard menu was excellent. He was a joy and obviously really enjoyed his job! Needless to say the food was fabulous, especially the lamb, and with tasty puds too. We will be back next time but in the meantime we would like to thank the whole team at Y Sgwar for two lovely evenings."
"The food and service were so good... we went for three nights in succession over the busy Easter weekend. Enjoyed great choices of food and wine each evening.
Lorraine is in charge of excellent front of house service, and David is in charge of excellent choices of cuisine (eg: venison wrapped in pancetta). Iolo is a star - a real trouper - whose attention to detail and high standards of customer service are simply amazing.
